From humble beginnings in the year 1960, with a membership of 48 people and an initial share capital of One Hundred and Sixty Nine Pounds, Eight Shillings (£169.08), AaMm Co-operative Credit Union Limited has overcome obstacles and created opportunities on its unstinting path of growth and development.

Originally known as the Association of Assistant Masters and Mistresses, AaMm’s continuous movement along a clearly defined growth path is reflected in the over 14,000 members it now has, and over J$1 billion in share savings. AaMm was conceived as a vehicle to assist Teachers to gain access to credit facilities which were difficult to obtain from the more traditional financial institutions.

Today, AaMm is helping not only teachers but also their families, providing financial products and services including savings, loans, financial counselling, health and life insurance from its Branch locations in Kingston, Portmore and Mandeville.
